Fanny Coudert (°1978) obtained her law degree in French and Spanish law in 2000 at the Université Panthéon–Sorbonne in Paris (maîtrise in tégrée en droits français et espagnol). In 2001, she obtained a Master degree in ICT Law (special award for dissertation) at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and in 2004, she obtained a pre-doctorate degree (D.E.A) at the same University (Magna Cum Laude).
During her doctorate training studies, she worked as a data protection auditor, and as an in-house lawyer in a consumer organization. She is a member of the Madrid (2001) and Brussels (2008) Bar Association.
Fanny joined ICRI in July, 2006 where she conducts research in the field of privacy and video surveillance through her work on the European project DYVINE (Dynamic visual networks, www.dyvine.eu) or SCOVIS ((Self-Configurable Cognitive Video Supervision) and in Belgian projects such as FLEXYS (Flexible Traffic Management) or SPAMM (Solutions Platform for Advanced Mobile Mesh). She is involved in the Network of Excellence FIDIS (Future of Identity in the Information Society, www.fidis.net)where she has participated in deliverables on the processing of location data, ID Theft and forensic/risk profiling.
