Paul Hodgson, BT Innovate spoke on social trust. He would have com in handy on yesterday's trust debate on the PICOS session.
He stated that:
* trust emerges to contain social complexity
* trust cheaper than control
* it requires evidence to justify trust
He pointed out that virtual acts need to relate to "real meaning", implying that social trust is strongly related to identity, and thereby to the quality of electronic identifiers.
With this line of thought, social trust is based on the trust in the technical quality of IDM.
